CV

Håvard Visnes (f. 1974) er prosjektleder på prosjektet; «Langtidsoppfølging av unge volleyballspillere med hopperkne», med støtte fra IOC.

Han er utdannet cand. med. i 2006 ved Universitetet i Bergen og fysioterapeut i 1998 fra Høgskolen i Bergen.Høsten 2014 forsvarte han doktoravhandlingen «Risk factors for jumper’s knee» ved Universitetet i Bergen og har i perioden 2005-2015 skrevet flere artikler om tendinopati.

Visnes arbeider nå som ortoped på Sørlandet sykehus Kristiansand. Han er leder for Nasjonalt Korsbåndregister og er nå knyttet til flere prosjekter rundt fremre korsbåndskader og bruskskader.

I 2022 publiserte han blant annet artikkelen «risiko for kneprotese etter fremre korsbåndskade». Han er medlem av den medisinske komite i det europeiske volleyballforbundet og sitter i styret i Norsk idrettsmedisinske forening.
